VIS-À-VIS

In october 2014, Romain Kronenberg and Thierry Payet are asked by the Mardin University of Fine Arts
to speak about their artistic work for the Biennale of the same city — postponed because of the political
context. This occasion makes both artists realize that they are approaching similar topics : otherness and
territories from opposite angles. A dialogue is following the presentation, that leads to the desire to show
in vis-à-vis two elements of their work for the Mardin Biennale — that finally takes place in may 2015.
